You Capture: rustic

Photobucket

I have looked at these posts every week since Beth started her You Capture challenge. I think hard about each subject. You see, I'm a painter and am always looking for new subjects to paint. So looking at all of the great shots you all take each week is great for me!

This week, I've decided to participate. Keep in mind, I don't own a good digital camera, so I snatched my dad's (which I hate) for a couple of hours. I also didn't do any editing since I don't know the first thing about editing photos. But here we go:

This is probably one of my favorite possessions ever. I found it when I was helping my grandmother go through some of my great-grandmother's things, and she gave it to me. It's an old Kodak Brownie.

Thanks, Beth!! This was fun! Maybe I'll participate more often! :o)

I'm going to repeat Heather's sentiment. A picture of a camera. Very cool indeed.

What a great capture! That old Kodak looks like its in pristine condition. I know this is scary but I remember using a camera like that. Picture taking was a lot harder back then. lol

I love that camera. I've been trying to collect old cameras and movie reels and projectors to make a collection display over a family room media built in (just coping a PB idea!). And they are hard to find. SO enjoy that treasure.

Love the camera. I like the oil lamp in the background...it just adds to the rusticness (I don't think that's really a word!).

Whoa...that is WAY cool! I love stuff like this and really like the way you included the case with the shot. Quite creative, my friend! Thanks for stopping over at our blog earlier and your funny train comment. They are way neat to photograph but a pain in the tushi when you're running late!! :) Lol!

What a great "capture" for "rustic"! I love old cameras. Hadn't thought of that when I was walking around my house desperately looking for something to photograph. I'm sure this camera means a lot to you.

I too joined for the first time. I'm just getting around to seeing what everyone else did. Come on over if you' like. :)

About Me

My photo
I'm a walking contradiction. While I love to draw, paint and read, I also love all things gadgets, science and even science fiction (I know). My animals (two dogs and two birds) are my heart, and if I could figure out how to legally own a giraffe, I would. That all said, I have my BS in Mathematics. :o)
